The B.A. in English, the M.A. in English Didactics and
the Research Group in Language Didactics are pleased to invite the Foreign
Language Teaching community to the 3rd Conference on Foreign Language Research to be held on September 16 to 18, 2015.
The aim of this event is to share research
experiences carried out by in-service and pre-service teachers and to reflect
on teaching and learning practices that fulfill the challenges of English
Language Teaching in the 21st Century.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The academic committee welcomes paper
presentations, workshops or posters on:

Research
proposals.
·
Complete
or in progress research reports.
·
Innovative
practices in the language classroom
·
Pre and
in-service teachers’ reflections on classroom experiences.
This is a
great opportunity to share your research work and to interact with other
in-service and pre-service teachers to gain better understanding of the
challenges of learning and teaching practices in the 21st Century.

CATEGORIES FOR
PRESENTATIONS
We invite you to send your proposals in English –individually
or in pairs- choosing one of the following categories:
a.
Research
report: 40 minutes including time for questions.
The research report
may be complete or in progress.
Please include Title,
Problem Statement (that includes the research question), Methodological Design,
Theoretical Framework, Data collection instruments and Partial or Final
results.
b.
Workshops: 50 minutes
including questions.
In a workshop, the presenter works with the
group, helping them to develop a specific teaching technique or a hands-on
activity. The emphasis is on the
participants’ activity.
c.
Posters:
Teachers’ reflections:
Research work, academic reflections on the teaching
practicum or on learning experiences as pre-service or in-service teachers. Posters
need to fulfill the following requirements:
Size: 1, 00 meter X 1, 50 centimeter (the poster can
be displayed either horizontally or vertically). Font Size: 18.
Please include Title, author(s), abstract,
Methodological Design, Theoretical Framework, and partial or final
results. You may also include photos or
graphics.
Research Proposals:
Size: 1, 00 meter X 1, 50 centimeter (the poster can
be displayed either horizontally or vertically). Font Size: 18.
Please include Title, author(s), Research Problem,
Objectives, Theoretical Framework, Antecedents, Methodology, Data Collection
Instruments.
*The concept of the evaluation
committee will be sent to you no later than July 31. Proposals sent before July 15 will be notified within 7 days following the date of submission.
General recommendations: Save your presentation in a USB Memory.
